STS updates for April 1st, 2009
Hi all,
last Friday, Mike Rivero of WhatReallyHappened.com posted my link and really helped to get the word out about what is happening here in Canada regarding Bush, my arrest and the Galloway situation, and his site has given me a lot of free publicity. Thank you so much Mike! He has two great radio shows too. See the links on his site for info and tune in!
I have consequently been on a few different radio programs in recent days. Here is a link to one of these interviews, in which we also got into the issues of 9/11 and the controlled financial demolition.

Open Letter to Canadian Parliamentarians, by Prof. Anthony J. Hall,
Centre for Globalization Studies , U. of Lethbridge - March 31st, 2009
Dear Parliamentarians,
The minority government of Stephen Harper has spit on the rule of law by welcoming the torturer George Bush and turning away the peace activist George Galloway. Moreover, much of the Canadian mainstream media, including the CBC, has aided and abetted the international crimes of George Bush by covering up the true character of what transpired in Calgary. The arrest of Splitting The Sky culminated a broadly-based citizens' initiative to pressure police to do their duty to enforce domestic and international law. As is well established in the Nuremberg charter, judgement and principles, following orders does not constitute a viable defence for direct involvement or complicity in international crimes.... continues here

Spanish judge to hear torture case against six Bush officials
Criminal proceedings have begun in Spain against six senior Bush Administration legal advisors--Alberto Gonzales, a former White House counsel and attorney general; David Addington, former vice-president Dick Cheney's chief of staff; Douglas Feith, former under-secretary of defence; William Haynes, former Pentagon general counsel; John Yoo and Jay Bybee, former senior justice department legal advisers--for the use of torture against detainees in Guantánamo Bay. Baltasar Garzón, has referred the case to the chief prosecutor. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/mar/29/guantanamo-bay-torture-inquiry
Bush Torture Lawyers Targeted in Criminal Probe

So what the hell is wrong with Canada? And when are the people going to get mad, get involved or lend their support?
I am still in desperate need of financial help for my legal defense, and to help use my case to highlight the hypocrisy and criminality of the Canadian government for allowing Bush into Canada, as well as to firmly establish the legal defense of "civil resistance", the duty of citizens to act when our governments and their agents are derelict in their duty. This will be very useful in the future to reign these criminals in.

Civilians Enforcing War Crimes Act Arrested While Criminal Gets Away
| Civilians Enforcing War Crimes Act Arrested While Criminal Gets Away - Press Release, March 19, 2009 - Indigenous activist Splitting The Sky attempts citizen's arrest of war criminal George W. Bush. Two civilians who tried to arrest George Bush while he was speaking in Calgary last Tuesday were instead arrested by Calgary Police. One man, Splitting The Sky, was held overnight in jail. Splitting The Sky, a resident of Chase, BC, was charged with assault of police officers and obstruction of justice. The second man, Kelly Hostland from Calgary, was released without charges. The two men, not connected, were attending a protest rally against George Bush outside the Telus Convention Centre. Two other men were also arrested and have been released. Under Canada's Crimes Against Humanity & War Crimes Act (2000), anyone reasonably suspected of war crimes or crimes against humanity is indictable under the law, regardless of their status as leader of a nation. Section 6 of the Act explicitly points the responsibility for the crimes to the 'superior' or 'military commander'. "When citizens of democracies worldwide see that the democratic rule of law has been degraded down to military commissions, then it is necessary for us to resist and indict the war criminals. If the police won't do it, then we have to deputize ourselves and arrest these people," says Splitting The Sky, who holds dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship. "We need a Nuremberg type trial for George Bush and officials in his administration," he added. Splitting The Sky successfully entered the Telus Convention Centre, where Bush was scheduled to speak to a select crowd of invited business and political leaders, intending, he says, to make a citizen's arrest of Bush for violations of the War Crimes Act. He was apprehended by CPS before he could reach the former president. "As a Calgarian, I am embarrassed that the world would think that we would welcome George Bush here and that he was invited to come," says Kelly Hostland. Both men have since been released from jail. The protest rally capped a week of anti-Bush events that included a mock trial, public forum and press conference as well as a mini film festival. Approximately 400 people were at the rally. Splitting The Sky plans to carry on a campaign to give George Bush his day in court. He's organized a panel discussion examining the case against Bush on Tuesday, March 24 at the Calgary Area Outdoor Council. The event starts at 7PM. Splitting the Sky vs George War Criminal Bush
According to Canadian law, anyone suspected upon reasonable and probable grounds of being a war criminal is not allowed in Canada and is to be barred, or arrested upon arrival, or if found in Canada. There is more than ample evidence available to show that the 'Babbling Bush' falls perfectly within the description of "War Criminal"!
While outside the convention centre, I asked the police several times to arrest Bush, which they refused. As they had abdicated their duty and were now complicit in war crimes and 'aiding and abetting' a war criminal. I felt compelled to intervene on behalf of the many thousands of victims of the Bush administration between 2001 and 2009. I felt it was my moral and civic duty.

I wish to thank Tony, Tavis, John Duddy, Nathan Moulton and many others from Calgary and Lethbridge for their support, Gail Davidson from Lawyers Against the War and my old friend Ramsey Clarke for trying to assist me while in custody. Special thanks to Wayne Prante of the 'Coalition of the Willing' and Travis of We Are Change Vancouver for helping to keep every one informed, and so many others for your concern, thoughts, prayers, and offers to help. I really appreciate it!
Dr. Bill Deagle of the Nutrimedical Report on GCN also interviewed me briefly on short notice, just after my release. We will hook up for a longer interview, if not on the 19th, then in the coming days, depending how fast I recover. Thanks Dr. Bill.
Thanks also to James Corbett for this wonderful article that was posted on his site, and later picked up Alex Jones and some other major alternative news sites.
Thank you gutless PM Harper Canadian Government, Leaders of the Non-Oppositon Parties, and the Calgary Goon Squad for being the cowards that you are, for arresting and charging me instead of your buddy Bush, and as such, now giving me a public platform on this issue. See you in court!
And last but not least, thanks to my wonderful wife She Keeps the Door for her understanding, and of course to my family.
Stay tuned for news regarding The Splitting the Sky Defense Fund!
I will need your help folks.
